In the sports world where talent and commitment should be honored equally regardless of gender. Yet, for many years now the reality is that there is no equality in terms of pay in sports. According to Forbes , on average women earn about 16% less than men. WNBA fans were stunned when they learned that Caitlin Clark , a player for the Indiana Fever, will make around $76,000 in the first year of her contract. However, is it really that big of a shock? Sure she is named as one of the most collegiate players of all time but why wouldn’t she be severely underpaid by the WNBA?  After sitting on the sidelines for the past three years, Chicago Bulls player Lonzo Ball makes a return to the court. Ball was out of the game for three years due to a knee injury. After many surgeries, he's back on the court and played in a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In 2018, the basketball player tore his meniscus while he was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He ended up having a cartilage transplant in March of 2023. Ball dropped 10 points for the Bulls in just 15 minutes. He also had his first assist, block, and steal we last saw him on the court in Jan. 2022.
