Lonzo Ball's Preseason Revival: 10 Points in Return From Injury
After sitting on the sidelines for the past three years, Chicago Bulls player Lonzo Ball makes a return to the court. Ball was out of the game for three years due to a knee injury. After many surgeries, he's back on the court and played in a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In 2018, the basketball player tore his meniscus while he was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He ended up having a cartilage transplant in March of 2023. Ball dropped 10 points for the Bulls in just 15 minutes. He also had his first assist, block, and steal we last saw him on the court in Jan. 2022. Though Ball is back in the game, coaches do have him on a playing time limit. In his preseason game against Minnesota, he was only allowed to play for 16 minutes. After playing around six minutes in the third quarter, Ball sat for the rest of the game. Many players. When asked if he doubted that he would ever play basketball again, Ball responded by saying "Not really to be honest". He then proceeded to state that it was his goal to get back on the court even knowing that it was going to be a long journey to get there.
My question for you all is: Did it surprise you to see Lonzo Ball make his return to basketball after not playing for the last few years? Do you think that he will be able to make it through the entire season and play most games, how he just played in the preseason game?
