Alyssa Thomas Slams Fever Fans for Alleged Racism After Playoff Win

 Star player of the Connecticut Sun, Alyssa Thomas speaks out about her experience with receiving racial comments from the Indiana Fever fan base. After yesterdays game between the Connecticut Sun vs. Indiana Fever ended with the Sun knocking out the Fever with a score from 81-87. Once the game was over, Thomas voiced her frustrations about the chaos that has been surrounded by this series between the Sun and the Fever. Thomas speaks up about her experience in the W.N.B.A thus far stating that in her 11 years of playing basketball, she has never received racial comments this bad like she has, from the Indiana Fever fan base. Head coach of the Sun, Stephanie White speaks out to the media in a call for an end to rising racism. White shares that throughout the years, we've seen racism, homophobia, sexism, etc. in our country but that does not make sports an exception. The WNBA released a statement on Wednesday night making it clear that the league is monitoring "threat-related activity". On Sunday, the Sun will play in their semifinal series against the Minnesota Lynx.
